Nose Threadlift with 1 Aesthethics Medical & Surgery!

As all of you may have already known, I did custom Nose Thread Lift at 1 Aesthetics Medical & Surgery by Dr Wan Chee Kwang about a month back! Many of you asked questions like: "What is Nose Thread Lift?", "Is it painful?", the cost and procedures etc..  So i'm gonna share my experience here with you!

Ok when it comes to aesthetics, I'm game for almost anything. This time round, I went to 1 Aesthetics Medical & Surgery for a higher nose bridge & more defined looking nose. Being a lady, I am definitely vain and am always looking for ways to enhance my looks! I mean, who doesn't want to look better right? And i always loved to have a higher nose bridge (having a typical asian flatter nose bridge) & more define looking nose as it will definitely brings the overall look sharper for sure. However, I am really afraid of going under the knife (plastic surgery) as my tolerance level for pain is super low, and that's the reason why I usually opt for non-invasive procedures such as fillers and botox!

I went to 1 Aesthetics1 Aesthetics Medical & Surgery a medical aesthetic clinic that specialises in natural looking results with minimal downtime. Threadlift is popularly used to enhance the shape of the nose and gives sharper more structured results compared to fillers, it literally brings out the nose contour look after treatment. While asking around for reviews, Dr Wan is one of the Drs that does custom nose threadlifts with super results and that's the reason why i am there. The beautiful view & hip instaworthy overall look of the clinic surroundings somehow distracted & eased my nervousness for my treatment. And you know what? It's conveniently located at right above Clarke Quay MRT!

Had a detailed consultation with Dr Wan Chee Kwang to discuss my nose & face structure using 3D imaging. First time i've seen this kind of 3D model, which can really show the problem areas very clearly.

Dr Wan is very friendly and patient, he explained quite clearly & in a lot of details about nose threatlift e.g.: the differences with filler, how it is done, what to expect & addressed my concerns one by one. Dr Wan Chee Kwang & team are super professional in both theory (sharing & explaining the treatment details) and practical (great service & handles my face properly throughout the entire session), which makes me feel 100% reassured to let them touch my face. I also found the page about nose contouring on their website 1Aesthetics Nose Contouring very detailed helpful! Dr Wan & his staff were very upfront & honest with me, there wasn't any hard selling unlike some other places.

I decided to go with Dr Wan's advice to do threadlift instead of nose fillers which i tried previously, results are kind of different in a certain way that nose fillers tends to be rounder after treatment as it spreads out & you'll ending up with tall but fatter nose bridge which isn't what i wanted. So this time round i decided to go for something i'd never try before and what i have heard was nose threadlift feels more natural to touch after treatment. Looks narrower and more defined looking bridge, nasal tip and projection, last no risk of blood vessels being affected.

I was really super afraid and worried about the pain level & procedure as i'm not a gore person, i don't and neither can watch operations or injections videos/photos. That's why i'm super scared and wonder how would my treatment be like, and in a way i'm super afraid of injections too but thank god 1 Aesthetics Medical & Surgery staffs are super nice and patient towards me, keeping me calm and assuring me there will not be any pain once local anaesthetic being injected.

During the process i don't feel a single pain at all, just pressure like someone is touching my nose. And of course for the local anaesthetic was just like small ant bite for that short while. According to Dr Wan, he also uses some special technique to reduce the local anaesthetic injection pain even more. Unlike rhinoplasty that usually requires under full/twilight anaesthesia, threadlift is done only with numbing injections to treated areas, making recovery time much quicker. No skin is cut out during a threadlift treatment hence there is almost no risk of scarring, pain and discomfort are minimal with fast recovery time.
I was able to put on make-up and go out the very next day.

Most aesthetics clinics actually just put a few (e.g. 10) standard size threads for nose threadlift treatments but Dr Wan Chee Kwang made sure to analyse my nose and face structure in 3D, then customize the thread lengths and placements to fit my nose, stacking up many many threads (more than 25!) to create results to similar to nose implant. As so many threads were placed plus it takes time for Dr Wan to customise the threads, it did take longer than my previous nose fillers, but it was worth it!

Results were instant, immediately i can see the difference from before and after treatment! What Dr Wan said was true, the result is closer to rhinoplasty than filler. I felt really happy leaving the clinic with a beautiful ideal nose, well preparing for the festive too! So so so glad that i came to 1 Aesthetics, received a lot of positive comments about my nose during cny visiting and a lot on Instagram's DM too!

This is how i looked like after a week plus from treatment, which i don't even need to contour my nose anymore! I'm really impressed by the results, it's literally like magic done on my nose haha, and definitely i'll be back for other treatments to balance out my face and look better too as they had already assured me with their service, skills and professionalism in taking good care of my face and create a awesome look for me. I'm highly impressed with Dr Wan Chee Kwang and staff who did a great job with their professionalism, this shows that I made the right decision to choose 1 Aesthetics Medical & Surgery out of all clinics across!

Many thanks to Playboy Singapore (Theresa) for inviting me to the "50 SHADES OF PLAY" PLAYBOY SINGAPORE LAUNCH PARTY, held at Suite26.

Coincidently I met pretty Wendy, who's working for the media launch, dressing in bunny girl representing playboy! *how sexy was that outfit*. Playboy? What comes to your mind? The first thing came to my mind was the bunny head logo hehe. Magazine? Not just that, they carry condoms and lubricants.

 A short speech was given to introduce Playboy products in order to let everyone know more why is it important to "play safe".

If you've been to Suite26, i'm referring to a female. You should know how holy god damn classy the washroom + makeup room is! Yes, it's a good place to rest and selfie haha. Lighting was awesome!

Mirage Aesthetic

Teeth whitening had all along been just a fleeting thought in my mind. Reasons being that it can be very expensive and I simply don't know which clinic is good. I mean, doing teeth whitening is an irreversible process... once it's done it's gonna be permanent. What if a slip up happened? (Haha I'm a little bit of a paranoid when it comes to things like this so please be nice) So even when Mirage Aesthetics emailed me to offer me their services I did remain a little hesistant.. Because what will we do? We will google for reviews (that's us as the new age generation hahaha) and there wasn't any that I came across. It was only after awhile of liasing through email that I decided to head down & give it a try. So happy that I did!

Prior to the treatment, therapist Louisa from Mirage Aesthetics sat me down with a hot towel and a drink before we start to discuss the whitening process. She showed me the shade of my teeth before treatment, explained how the treatment might adversely affect my mouth temporarily. Then, I was ushered into a small room to begin the treatment.

In order to obtain the best results for your smile, Mirage Aesthetic uses blue light LED (light emitting diode) technology. Blue light is within the ultraviolet spectrum, similar to the light emitted by the sun. Studies show that blue light is an excellent activation agent for non-peroxide gels, the cleaning agent in tooth whitening systems like Zoom! - giving your teeth a deeper clean in less time!

I had LED Teeth Whitening treatment for 20mins x 2 rounds. The whitening gel will be re-applied ever 20 minutes for 2 sessions for the best effectiveness. While entire experience takes up about an hour. Before treatment, my mouth was fitted with a cheek retractor, therapist Louisa applied lip balm to my lips for protection, as all the led light actually will dry out your lips. Next will be gum protection gel, to prevent ulcers, followed by the teeth whitening gel then it goes the led light shining process! Both upper and lower teeth were treated at the same time. Although the procedure was painless, it was uncomfortable. I mean, imagine if your mouth is kept opened for a good 45 minutes! The worst was that my saliva pooled in my mouth because I’d tried not to swallow so much even though I was told it was ok to do so.

BEFRORE

My teeth were whitened 2 to 6 shades than before! (the numbers are in even numbers sequences) Nah, they are not pearly white like those on the models of toothpaste commercials but nonetheless, I’m quite happy with the results. As you see, my teeth are quite yellowish, due to the "stubborn stains" from smoking, drinking coffee over the past few years. And of course, BRACES! Depends on individuals for the stains you'd during braces process, mine was bad. That's why it's called "stubborn stains" as it's not easily removable.. For the top row, 2 shades lighter for "stubborn stains", 4 shades lighter for the rest, while it's 6 shades lighter for the whole bottom row! Thou there's white spots on my teeth, but eventually it will disappear in 1 day time! No amount of whitening toothpaste can make them look any brighter. But just 45 minutes after using the LED teeth whitening, my teeth became 6 shades lighter!

Overall, I'm really satisfied with the results.

My teeth did feel a little sore/sensitive after the treatment, but it was fine the next day.

Was recommended to not to smoke and take f&b that are too hot/cold the next three days.

And also to avoid food with strong food coloring eg. curry for the next two weeks.
