It's like a friend, an companion, a girlfriend, someone who will can confide to, listen to all your nags and 心事, thou it ain't able to reply in human language, but I believe many of them do understands our words and feelings. So like I said, sometimes dogs are a lot better than humans. At least they won't betray nor do anything to hurt you, while stay by you, playing w them makes your day better. So people, even thy are dogs but still a living thing, cherish and love them as if they are also human like part of your family. At times, dogs are alot better than some humans, esp loyalty! (:
