Last Sunday of March -

Get a crack out of Skinny Pizza's thin crusts that come topped with the freshest ingredients - it's an international twist that’s causing a worldwide sensation! Inspired by the ‘Naan’ bread and 'Paper Prata', this is an epic pizza extravaganza of the skinniest proportions. One crack is never enough! Pizza is one of the most recognized food in the world today. There used to be only one place for pizzas when i was still young, and that was Pizza Hut. But as i grow older, i found satisfaction in seeking new places for something new. Having said that, i still love my hawaiian pizza from pizza hut.

We've picked Skinny Pizza as our last sundate for March! The environment is pleasant, a typical mid range restaurant. The service is quite good, service crew there are quite helpful and polite, which is not really easy to find in this kind of restaurant in sg. Beside a range of pizza, the serve some standard mains like fish & chips, also dessert & sides.

Reasons why Skinny Pizza is right for the pizza-loving girl who is always on a diet:

#1 : Thin-like-paper crust
Skinny Pizza were creative enough to come out w/ the super skinny crust which is as thin as a piece of paper. It cracks. Hence, unlike other thick crust pizzas, you won't feel too full/bloated from eating the crust which is usually just carbs.

#2 : Loads of healthy vegetables
The crust is hidden beneath all the healthy green toppings. My boy isn't a fan of rockets, so it's a chore for him to remove all to me. Hence, i just obediently eat them w/ the rest of the crust.

Skinny Pizza has quite an interesting variety of pizzas. We'd picked ...
The English Breakfast ($24) is a mix of smoky bacon and egg, served w/ portobello mushrooms, roasted neapolitan tomato sauce and ripped basil. Visually pleasant w/ a cooked sunny side up on top, i loved the smoky bacon which is crispy and there's a generous amount of it. The combination of the roasted tomato sauce & sweet basil was perfectly executed, together w/ the crunch light crust, satisfying pizza indeed.

My main peeve is that the crunchy & light crust was too thin and easily broken, while the toppings kept falling off. Hence, it's impossible for me to eat it in an elegant way haha!

Other than pizza, we'd another main ...
The Elegant Black Pepper Prawn Linguine ($32) which is topped w/ fish roe.
T really like it as the prawns they used are fresh and succulent, the black pepper pasta base has been stir-fried w/ chunks of prawn, so the linguine absorbs the juices (essence) of the prawns. But it's alittle too oily & salty for me as the linguine was literally soaked in oil, i couldn't take it.

We ordered a Three-Sides Platter ($18)
Comes w/ 1/4 metre long sausage, parsley mashed potatoes & truffle fries.
We picked the "pork" sausage out of the chicken & beef, it was tasty enough but slightly salty. The parsley mashed potatoes were really soft & mouth-melting, served in quite big portion while we couldn't really finish. As for the fries, had an overpowering pungent truffle taste, which fries is T's favorite so he'd most of it. Out of the three sides, i like the sausage most actually.

Skinny Pizza was a quick growing casual pizza chain that specialized in gourmet pizzas served on wafer thing cracker crusts! Great electric menu & probably some of the best casual service in singapore. I'm sure you'll agree w/ me that skinny pizzas are ladies' favourite - thin, healthy and not too filling. Skinny Pizza has seven outlets: Raffles City, Wheelock, Suntec City, Westgate, 100am, Great World City, Plaza Singapura & House @ Dempsey.
